It is with heavy but grateful hearts that we announce the closing of Ginger Hop & Honey as of March 29th, 2020. We are so grateful to our employees who have become like family: to our wonderful guests, many of whom have become friends: and to the artists, comedians and musicians who generously shared their talents with us.
We are a full-service, 2-story restaurant and lounge/night club. With the loss of 80% of our revenue stretching into months rather than weeks due to the Covid 19 crisis, we could not see a way to remain open that didn’t leave us with a mountain of debt requiring years to pay off. We have had a great run for 10 1/2 years and will treasure the memories of first daters, old timers, rehearsal dinners, families who love cream cheese wontons, dance parties, poetry slams, rappers, DJ’s, opera stars and more!
We really appreciate all of our fans who tell us Ginger Hop is their favorite restaurant and tell us about that one dish they can’t live without. And thank you to all you Honey fans for making a basement bar feel like it was on top of the world! It is tough to say good bye, but know we will be forever grateful to all of you who made this more than a job, but rather a meaningful adventure every day.
Sincerely, Katey, Jon, Jake and Charles
